When the card becomes compulsory
Any non-EU national intending to remain in Spain beyond six months — to work, to study, to join family or to live on independent means — must obtain a TIE once their visa or residence authorisation has been granted.
Giving your fingerprints (the toma de huellas)
You reserve a "toma de huellas" slot, attend in person with your photographs, the completed EX-17 form and the settled fee, provide your fingerprints, and then return a few weeks later to collect the finished card.
In Mallorca
In Mallorca, the the tie residence card is handled through Oficina de Extranjería de Illes Balears (Palma); our local team prepares your file and books the cita previa so it clears first time. We help clients from Andratx to Alcúdia.
