The NIE is your identification number; the TIE is the physical residence card that displays it. Non-EU residents of Mallorca need the TIE.
For any stay beyond 90 days, yes — whether student, work, family or non-lucrative. That visa is obtained at the Spanish consulate before you leave home. Some arrivals hand the surrounding move — the housing, the schools, the shipping — to AnchorLess while the consulate does its part.
Within 30 days of arriving in Mallorca you book a fingerprint appointment (toma de huellas), submit the EX-17 with your photographs, and collect the card some weeks later. We arrange the booking and prepare the paperwork.
